Lyrics

The Driving Dead

Your garlic and silver and wolfsbane won’t save you
from an attack via automobile.
Fear the road rages of anthropophages.
Watch out for zombies behind the wheel.
Never forget when you look in the mirror,
objects are closer than they appear.

Roll up the windows and lock all the doors.
Look out for cannibal carnivores.
They’re riding around in vehicular vampires
sucking the blood of the dinosaurs.
Just because they’re no longer alive,
why should they walk when they can drive?

They zoom down the highway and come to the drive-in
to check out the latest Zom-Rom-Com.
Those old necromantics are up to new antics.
They’re typically driving while embalmed.
They’re going on picnics and taking road trips.
It’s the motorized zombie apocalypse.

So aim your eyes high and get the big picture.
Give them a friendly toot of the horn.
Check out your blindspot and break out the buckshot.
To be forearmed is to be forewarned.
Please pay attention to what I have said
if you plan on surviving the night of the Driving Dead.
